Alex is now a sole practitioner, having been a partner in a larger Seattle law firm. During his career, he has successfully represented both employees and employers in various settings.

He is the former chair of the King County Bar Association,
Labor & Employment Section. From 2003-2006, he was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. He has spoken at a number of employment law conferences and taught seminars on a broad variety of topics.

Alex has also worked as a U.S. Park Ranger in Montana and a high school history teacher in Mexico. He lives in Seattle with his wife and young daughter.
